Applications of Elliptic curvesSpeaker:
Reza Rezaeian Farashahi, Isfahan University of Technology
Date, Time, and Venue: Friday, January 3 | 10:30-11:15 | Hall 2Abstract:
Elliptic curves have received a lot of attention throughout the past 4 decades. They have been playing an increasingly important role both in number theory and in related fields such as cryptography. For example, they were used in the proof of Fermat's Last Theorem. They also find applications in elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) and integer factorization. In this talk, we review some applications of elliptic curves in number theory and modern public-key cryptography.
